Redesigning the Revision Skincare website on Shopify 2.0 presented an early challenge: creating an optimized mobile experience to enhance product discoverability and reduce site friction. Our primary objectives were to boost conversion rates, increase average order value (AOV), and shorten checkout times. By leveraging heat-mapping tools like Hotjar, we pinpointed friction points in the customer journey, developed hypothesis-driven design solutions, and conducted A/B testing to ensure our designs effectively delivered results.
At the heart of this project was the ambition to create a scalable foundation: one codebase powering eight distinct regional experiences.
Through our custom-built Shopify architecture, we implemented toggle-based modularity using Shopify’s theme customizer. This allowed region-specific features, apps, and content to be activated on a market-by-market basis—without disrupting the core code. The result? A maintainable ecosystem that flexes features and functionality effortlessly to meet the unique needs of each market, without sacrificing brand integrity.
In addition, RE/DONE offers unique denim pieces (One Size/Multiple Washes) in addition to standard pieces - hence they required multiple unique product detail templates to be built. We built each template specifically to provide the optimal shopping experience for that particular product.
